Dear October,

You’re my favorite month. You bring all kinds of wonderful, like leaves changing color, and crisp clear air, and accessories, and scarves, and sweaters, and the ability to bake things without making the apartment unbearably hot. I plan on living to the fullest.

Dear Steve Jobs,

Thank you so much. You showed us a great example of someone who never gave up, and how to be innovative, think of the most amazing things, and make them happen. I love my MacBook Pro and iPod. I hope Apple can keep innovating and creating great products.

Dear Bollywood,

I love you. Please keep doing what you’re doing, I love it.

P.S. It would be cool if you make more historical movies; India has such a rich history.

The Full Moon

So tonight is a full moon. I’ve heard a saying that people act more crazy than usual when there is a full moon. Do you think that’s true?

I used to work near a group that took phone calls, and later their group was moved. One of my friends from that team used to say that there is definitely a difference when the moon is full because they get more crazy calls that usual.

That got me thinking, and I started noticing that there is a difference. When I’m driving, I notice that people drive more dangerously or recklessly than usual, and I wonder “I wonder if there’s a full moon tonight?”

Sure enough, tonight when I was driving home from school with my friend Erica, a kid on a bike was riding really fast and came out of nowhere on the street that intersected with the street we were on, and we both screamed. We thought he was going to ride straight into us, but he turned quickly onto the road we were on.

According to Wikipedia, “full Moons are traditionally associated with temporal insomniainsanity (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) and various “magical phenomena” such as lycanthropy. Psychologists, however, have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on human behavior around the time of a full moon.[5] They find that studies are generally not consistent, with some showing a positive effect and others showing a negative effect.”

In astrology, they say “the Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon.”

What do you think? Have you noticed anyone being more crazy than usual during the time of a full moon?
